Subretinal PolyTip® Cannulas
The 38g PolyTip® Cannulas utilize an extremely thin-walled, semi-flexible tip which allows maximum flow rate in a small diameter cannula. They are rigid enough to penetrate the retina, eliminating the need to create a separate retinotomy. These products are ideal for subretinal injection. They can also be used for low volume fluid drainage, such as draining subretinal PFCL. The luer lock hub allows a quick secure connection to our MicroDose™ Injection Kit, syringe, extension tube or infusion line. The 2mm green tip allows easy passage through valved entry cannulas and better visibility. The shorter tip is rigid enough to penetrate the retina, while the 5mm is more flexible.

Extendable PolyTip® Cannulas
The Extendable PolyTip® Cannulas feature a 38g tip that can be fully retracted for easy passage through a valved entry cannula, and then extended up to 5mm in length. Shorter tubing reduces loss of injection fluid. Priming volume is approximately 0.1mL.
PolyVent™ Cannulas
The 38g PolyVent™ cannulas utilize the same features as our popular Subretinal PolyTip® Cannulas, however they incorporate the additional patented features of our DualBore SideFlō® cannulas, providing egress vents that allow for pressure release in the eye during the injection. This should minimize pressure on the bleb being created in the subretinal space. Additionally, the green 5mm tip provides better visualization. All of our subretinal products are flow tested during manufacturing to ensure reliable performance.

The Extendable PolyVent™ Cannulas feature a green, 38g tip that can be fully retracted for easy passage through a valved entry cannula, and then extended up to 5mm in length. Small bore infusion tubing significantly reduces “dead space” to just 0.1ml, decreasing waste of injectable by 50 % versus comparable subretinal devices.

MicroTip Beveled Cannula
The MicroTip Beveled Cannula has a 40g (0.10mm diameter) all-metal, beveled tip which allows easy penetration through the retina for subretinal injection. Slight curve at tip allows better visibility and easier approach angle for entry into the subretinal space. Compatible with 25g entry cannulas.
